Mindful Breathing Technique

You may engage in mindful breathing regardless of time or location.

  • Bring your focus to your breath.

  • As you inhale through your nose, notice the way your lungs expand and your chest opens up.

  • Pause for two seconds.

  • Begin to slowly exhale, noticing the change in your chest as it falls with your exhale.

  • If your mind begins to wonder, bring your focus back to the slow and controlled breath. Only focusing on the sensation of your breathing.

  • Repeat as needed.
